Should you have a blog-

Hey everyone!

So, today we’ve got an exciting question from our Dreamers & Doers Mastermind Group.

The question is:

How important is a blog? I’ve been reading about a lot of people doing them, but I’m unsure if it would be a good use of my time and who would ACTUALLY read it…

So, today, I want to talk to you specifically about 3 reasons why having a blog can help build your business.

Reason #1

You’re creating content with your blog, and content helps drive traffic to your website. The more traffic you have to your site, the more people you’ll get to fill out your contact form. Therefore, you’ll get more leads, and the more leads you get, the clients you’ll be able to book.

Now there are various ways people could find your website. If they are searching on Google, they may or may not be familiar with your brand. They might be searching more generally if they don’t know you. So, the more quality content you have on your site, the better chance you’ll have to ultimately rank for higher positions in Google.

And…the more higher position – the easier it is for people to find you. So, having quality content on your site can help boost your SEO ranking and help you get more traffic to your site.

Reason #2

Blogging can help you build a better relationship with and help you connect more with your clients and customers. Here’s the thing, let’s say you go to to a website and you see a beautiful portfolio of work, but you see very little written about or from the business owner… how well are you going to feel like you know them? Creating quality blog articles and turning those into newsletters you send out to your clients can not only help your clients by keeping them updated and informed, but also help you build a more personal connection with them as it’s a good way to keep in touch.

Reason #3

The third reason that blogs benefit is that it helps set you apart. Blogs allow you the opportunity to showcase what you know, and help you get answers and information out to your clients that they may find valuable. When you’re creating helpful content, this helps to demonstrate that you are an authority and leader in your field. You’ll hear a lot of times that people want to work with the “best.” By sharing your expertise, people will see you as more of that authority, and this will ultimately help elevate your brand.

Now, you might be thinking… okay, I think that sounds good, but what if no one read it?

Well, your blog is the perfect place to really let your brand shine, and let people know what you’re all about.

The people that are right for you will be interested in what you have to share. And, the people that aren’t right for you – well, they’ll end up going away. And, that’s not a bad thing – it’s actually really good thing because at the end of the day, you want to work with clients are a good match for you and are going to appreciate the work that you do.
